If your equipment has a discharge option, use this feature to discharge your battery pack during the initial training.
Since the newer battery types do not suffer from the ‘memory effect’, discharging is not required during normal operation. Therefore, a discharge function is often not foreseen in modern devices.
In this case, discharge the battery by daily use. Do not recharge until the battery is (almost) fully discharged. Repeat this procedure five times, after which you may charge and discharge your (NiMH, Li-ion or Li-polymer) battery as you like. |
